A kingdom for a paradox
Gay Christians don´t belong on stage

Joanna Newsome / The Hidden Cameras at KB, Malmö, last night.

Thanks to KB and their ability to sometimes start concerts in time and sometimes 3 hours late, we almost missed Joanna Newsome last night. If it says on the tickets that doors open at 20.00, normally the supportact starts around 22.00 and the mainact at 23.00. Last time we went to see Lambchop we ended up waiting at KB for 2 hours to see the worst supportact God ever created and then one more hour for Lambchop. Boring. So, yesterday we showed up at 21.00. Saw the two last songs of Joanna Newsome, amazing. I love her and I am in love with her. No doubt.

Then after an hour beers and queers The Hidden Cameras started their espectaculo. In their best moments they sounded like Neutral Milk Hotel, and those moments were very few. Maybe 10-15 seconds in total. And in the worst moments they were like a bad copy of a boring Belle & Sebastian. It was like big potpourri of the last 30 years of indierock. From Ramones to Eurovision Song Contest 2004. It was horrible. They were 9-10 people on stage and still they didn´t manage to create wall of sound. IT was plain boring and they had no energy at all. In between tracks they tried to drop a few lines in swedish and no one could hear what they tried to say. One time they said "Vi älskar krossa kapitalet" (Don´t know how to translate that, it´s like something young angry working class kids shout at the rich people in power. "Death to the capitalists!"), which per se is a nice paradox as the 500-600 people in there each paid 250 swedish kronor to get in, 15 sek to hang their coats and 43 kronor each beer in plastic cups. I would guess that each "rebel" in there spent 400 swedish kronor to see their lousy rip-off show.

The only positive thing about last night was that I saw a poster for upcoming concert in December:
Motörhead. Supportact: Sepultura.
I´ll be there.

Ps. I have a slight hangover. I blame The Hidden Clogs

I think I saw the Hidden Cameras with James and Roope at Primavera sound in may, it was very boring.

This thursday it´s the live-debut of Mr. Simon Williams at Apollo

Lemmy & Sepultura is 13th December.
It didn´t say how much the tickets are, but I would guess a lot. 40-50 euros?
