Some Velvet Morning

Oh yeah. A good, long night's sleep was all it took. Now I am 100% back on form, back in business and back in black. Unfortunately it's like the Fourth of July celebrations on my street (where the office is) as there is a shop around the corner that sells pertardos and other assorted (and probably dodgy) fireworks for Sant Joan (when is that? the 23rd?). The street is quite narrow and tall so the echoes of the bangers are really loud. It makes you stop what you are doing even if you've heard them fifteen times in the last fifteen minutes. Little sods.

Actually, talking of Fourth of July celebrations, I was in Chicago last Fourth of July and was expecting a big deal - fireworks everywhere, fairs, rallies, carnival-esque atmosphere and so on. But it was pretty crap, to tell you the truth. A couple of hot dogs stands, some cars with token flags in the window and a few fireworks. It's not like that on TV.
