Negroni & Jahbitat @ Apolo

Sup dudes and dudettes?

Took some photos last night of (off?) Negroni and the Jahbitat show at Apolo.

I went to Negroni with my lady and had another White Russian.

Afterwards we headed down to Apolo where the venezuelan posse was in full effect.
Junior rocking the graphics and Simon putting on an excellent show I must say.

Simon on computer keys, bass, rapping and even a bit of singing! El Chavo on
decks sporting a pair of excellent golf-type of pants, 10 style points to him. And some dude on drums who played excellent.
I was impressed, and how important those livedrums are. He played a short set
around 5 songs, and what can I say, promising! very.

Earlier that evening I rocked an exchange with Simon, he gave me his CD and I gave
him my shiny new Lo Street sampler which I hand-printed with my own sello de goma. :)

Here´s some photos: (They´re really fucking ugly, I can easily say that I´m not
changing careers to photography)

Peace!

I think Javi succeeded in getting a kind of neutral look on it. They serve great drinks.

I still think that Cable Records was a far better place to spend your weekend than this typical wannabe pijo default downtown Barcelona bar.

Long Live Cable Records.

Stubborn as a bitch in heat.

Good work on the Thursday night report from Barcelona, I can imagine it all now as if I were there. Negroni looks pretentious, sure, but quite stylish. I am sure Javi will make even more pots of gold, and that's the point isn't it?

I went to Rainbo Bar with my friend Griff and got served by the guitarist from Tortoise, who works in there every Thursday for some reason.

Long live Cable Records.

Of course cable was nicer, but it wasn´t really a place where you bring your girl (drinking 6 beers in the afternoon normally isn´t their idea of "fun") in The thing is though..., none of had girlfriends at that particular time.

Now I´m going recordshopping even though I already ordered stuff from turntablelab for 45 dollars(so cheap!)
I ordered this stuff:

The Conmen: Volume 1 - Smooth Criminals CD
(deep crate digging compilation stuff)

Ghostface Originals LP
(sample originals of Ghostface Killah)

Eddie Bo: Hook & Sling 12"
(classic New Orleans second-line funk)

Beastie Boys: B-Boy Breaks LP
(sample originals of Beastie Boys!!!)

D'Angelo: Untitled 7"
(for 3,50!)

Ammon Contact: Sounds Like Everything
(their first full-lenght, on Plug Research)

Now I¨m going to check out tallers, looking for the madvillain instrumentals.

Have a nice weekend y´all, from coast to coast, continent to continent!
