In the midst of what nutritional experts see as an epidemic of obesity among North Americans, Burger King has decided to launch their biggest sandwich so far, the Elvis-esque Enormous Omelet Sandwich, which carries 730 calories and 47 grams of fat and comes with two eggs, sausage, three strips of bacon and two slices of melted American cheese on a bun. It's heftier than a Whopper hamburger, which weighs in at 700 calories and 42 grams of fat. This little timebomb also retails at the handsome price of $2.99, ideal for (lower income and poorly educated) families across the country.
Good thinking Burger King! With the real economic threat of the Euro over the Dollar and the emerging Chinese market looming, soon Americans will be too fat to care. Maybe its for the best..they can eat themselves into oblivion and leave the rest of the world alone.
