Why I love Catalunya.

Well, the recent elation of getting a new flat (with my good lady) was tarnished with the news (which came the day after I moved in) that the owner of the building had passed away and that the widow was looking to sell the whole building and that as my girlfriend had some weird-ass clause in her contract that was for five years but had to be renewed (or something) after three...so we were unsure if we had any rights and even started looking for a new place. Uff..

Anyway, news came today that we got the right to stay for the full five years (there are two years left on the contact) and if the widow does decide to sell, she'll have to either offer us the flat at a reasonable market-friendly price or offer us a "dineral", as they chuckle here, to leave. Hurrah! Will be celebrating tonight for sure with cava, patatas bravas and maybe even a little pà amb tomaquet.

Tomorrow, by the way we are going to Sidecar at 10pm to see three Finnish bands (Es, Kiila and Islaja) for 10 Euros. They are all excellent, so come along (if you're in Barcelona).
