Took a trip with families, friends and dog to the pijo part of Skåne, Skanör! Cows, evil birds and sandwiches. Tomorrow we go check out the house and the garden.

Oh, by the way. The stupid pop-up we get every now and then here at El Slacker is because .tk is a free domain name and as soon as we get too many hits, they start "punishing" us with banners and pop-ups. If you don´t wanna see them, bookmark http://www.nosordo.com/slack instead.

Love!

Sweden in less than 48 hours

Went to Sweden last weekend for a wedding, arrived in Stockholm last Friday at 15:30 and left Saturday morning at 04:00. Jolin!

The short time I was there I managed to stumble in to Johan, as we accidently went in to the second hand shop where he's got an exhibitions. Schmall world indeed.

I also had the luck to run into the neighbourhood fleamarket, people just took their "shit" out on the street where they sold books for 5 kronor and lot's of funny little things. Random people just sat outside their houses on the pavement and smiled.
Imagine if people had taken out their "SHIT" in Barcelona? That would definitly have ended with big tears. And most probably a foul smell. Erik, rumours are that Barcelona city is bringing out the big gloves to deal with Bad People on the streets. Ciutat Vella will be "safer & cleaner" this autumn. Ver es creer?

The flat is coming along nicely although I confess that the IKEA-sickness got me in its grip. Last night I scanned the catalogue and wrote a long list of things-we-have-to-get-for-the-house. Come visit everyone!

Time for pasta in a bag, lovely.

Heavy metal is cool

Wow. That a cool guy. I wish I was him.

hmmmmmmm

Internet, and email back again. Thanks telefonica & aruba for frying my head in the last week.

Funny little story I thought I´d share for today.

For those born before 1986 According to today's regulators and bureaucrats, those of us who were kids in the 60's, 70's and early 80's probably shouldn't have survived, because our baby cots were covered with brightly coloured lead-based paint which was promptly chewed and licked. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, or latches on doors or cabinets and it was fine to play with pans.

When we rode our bikes, we wore no helmets, just flip-flops and fluorescent 'spokey dokey's' on our wheels. As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or airbags - riding in the passenger seat was a treat. We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle and it tasted the same.

We ate chips, bread and butter pudding and drank fizzy juice with sugar in it, but we were never overweight because we were always outside playing. We shared one drink with four friends, from one bottle or can and no-one actually died from this.

We would spend hours building go-carts out of scraps and then went top speed down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into stinging nettles a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We would leave home in the morning and could play all day, as long as we were back before it got dark. No one was able to reach us and no one minded.

We did not have Play stations or X-Boxes, no video games at all. No 99 channels on TV, no videotape movies, no surround sound, no mobile phones, no personal computers, no DVDs, no Internet chat rooms.

We had friends - we went outside and found them. We played elastics and rounders, and sometimes that ball really hurt! We fell out of trees, got cut, and broke bones but there were no law suits.

We had full on fist fights but no prosecution followed from other parents. We played chap-the-door-run-away and were actually afraid of the owners catching us. We walked to friends' homes. We also, believe it or not, WALKED to school; we didn't rely on mummy or daddy to drive us to school, which was just round the corner. We made up games with sticks and tennis balls. We rode bikes in packs of 7 and wore our coats by only the hood.

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke a law was unheard of...They actually sided with the law.

This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers and problem solvers and inventors, ever. The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas. We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all. And you're one of them. Congratulations! Pass this on to others who have had the luck to grow as real kids, before lawyers and government regulated our lives, for our own good.
For those of you who aren't old enough, thought you might like to read about us.

This my friends, is surprisingly frightening......and it might put a smile on your face: The majority of students in universities today were born in 1986........They are called youth. They have never heard of We are the World, We are the children, and the Uptown Girl they know is by Westlife not Billy Joel. They have never heard of Rick Astley, Bananarama, Nena Cherry or Belinda Carlisle. For them, there has always been only one Germany and one Vietnam. AIDS has existed since they were born. CD's have existed since they were born. Michael Jackson has always been white.

To them John Travolta has always been round in shape and they can't imagine how this fat guy could be a god of dance.
They believe that Charlie's Angels and Mission Impossible are films from last year. They can never imagine life before computers.
They'll never have pretended to be the A Team, RedHand Gang or the Famous Five.
They'll never have applied to be on Jim'll Fix It or Why Don't You.
They can't believe a black and white television ever existed.
And they will never understand how we could leave the house without a mobile phone.

Now let's check if we're getting old...

1. You understand what was written above and you smile.
2. You need to sleep more, usually until the afternoon, after a night out.
3. Your friends are getting married/already married.
4. You are always surprised to see small children playing comfortably with computers.
5. When you see teenagers with mobile phones, you shake your head.
6. You remember watching Dirty Den in EastEnders the first time around.
7. You meet your friends from time to time, talking about the good Old days, repeating again all the funny things you have experienced together.
8. Having read this, you are thinking of passing it on to someone.

Back in Catalunya

Me, I'm back here, after a looong month of doing nuttin´ at all.
I was trekking in Aigues Tortes for some days with Mechi, then I went to Sweden where I met up with old Tomas and his beautiful family in Malmö and then back again to Gothenburg where I did nutting at all again until it was time for my brother's wedding, then i got back to 34 degrees in the shade.
Barcelona is DIIIIRTIER then ever...wtf is happening here?

Jim & Rebecca, where's that new flat?

Check out me and Mercedes's adventures at:

Hope to see everybody soon, house-warming party soon kanske?

A new house for a new family life style

Yes, friends & foreigners, it´s that time of the year again. We been checking out a new house again. Or, it´s not really new at all. Quite small and quite quiet. The village is called Norra Värlinge and is made up by 4 houses, 2 of each side of the road. One of them is hopefully our future living. Not far from Malmö, about 20 kilometers, on small roads, so it probably takes +30 minutes by car. Pleace check it out! House was built sometime in the 19th century and was renovated 1935, so yes, it is probably in big need for another layer of paint and such.

Bad news is that Blenda got a full cup of tea over her last night, burnt her stomach so we had to go to the hospital and have it looked after. But as she is a brave and strong little girl she is ready for another fight today again.

Over and out,

T-bone.

my favourite company

Here in new flat and all is good but still in boxes. Last week got internet and phone installed and was really happy with myself, and telebastards for coming so quickly. This week, their Italian server crashes where my website and mail server is and I´m left with no webpage or email. The (funny) thing is that its there, anyone who doesn´t use Telebastards can see it but not us fools who signed some stupid pink piece of paper last week to say everything was working ok.

............. and they charged me 90 cents a minute to tell "we are working on it at the moment, I can´t tell you anymore".

Full on!

Right, Slackers. What have you all been up to? Not much news lately.
Me up north, apart from running around after Blenda trying to avoid a disaster, have been working on some upcoming events that goes under the name Full Pull. (See below.)
Today it´s friday and I´m at the office, which is like holidays. It´s very quiet and slow. It´s nice having a day off from family duty. Going to check out a house this weekend, between velling and trelleborg, about 30 minutes drive from malmö. Quite a small house, but that is good. Cheaper to keep warm during the long bastard winters we got up here. Headache, come save me.
