Blenda asleep? Over and out!
I ordered these babies today. Papi Tomas won´t leave no one alone this summer.
Why I love Catalunya.
Well, the recent elation of getting a new flat (with my good lady) was tarnished with the news (which came the day after I moved in) that the owner of the building had passed away and that the widow was looking to sell the whole building and that as my girlfriend had some weird-ass clause in her contract that was for five years but had to be renewed (or something) after three...so we were unsure if we had any rights and even started looking for a new place. Uff..
Anyway, news came today that we got the right to stay for the full five years (there are two years left on the contact) and if the widow does decide to sell, she'll have to either offer us the flat at a reasonable market-friendly price or offer us a "dineral", as they chuckle here, to leave. Hurrah! Will be celebrating tonight for sure with cava, patatas bravas and maybe even a little pà amb tomaquet.
Tomorrow, by the way we are going to Sidecar at 10pm to see three Finnish bands (Es, Kiila and Islaja) for 10 Euros. They are all excellent, so come along (if you're in Barcelona).

Why I love Wikipedia.
After searching for something (admittedly music-related) on the 'net, I came across an article in Wikipedia, then clicked once, then twice and kept going until I came up with: "In addition to being an acronym, the name "ABBA" is also a palindrome. In 1975, ABBA's "SOS" became the first song with a palindromic title recorded by a group with a palindromic name to hit the pop charts." No idea how I get there but I felt a zen-like calm wash over when I did. I spent the rest of the hour reading up on what the former members of ABBA are "up to now".
Perhaps we should play Wikipedia vs. Jeopardy, where you say what you found and then contestant (the rest of us) have to guess what you were originally looking for.

How low can you go?
I am launching a personal boicot against Revolver-Discos (c/Tallers) for stocking "rare" Skrewdriver 7" singles. For those unfamilar with these dickheads, Skrewdriver are (in their own words) a "global skinhead movement promoting anti-semitism and racism". This is not the kind of thing I wanna see when I am diggin' for jazz and the occasional hip hop album and it is definitely not the kind of thing that should be available in one of Barcelona's more popular independent record shops.

Okay, friends, this is what i look at 08.00-16.30, monday to friday. Except for the hours I am at breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks, and days coming late, going early, snowed in, sick, home with blenda, at the post office, in the restroom, stealing stuff and fixing my bike.
