Yes, winter IS beautiful. But it´s also so very painful.

Started off this morning with ice in the gasoline. Took me an hour to get to work, after stopping at the gas station and buying chemicals. It´s also painful to get rid of all the ice on the windows and freezing my white trailer trash ass off while doing so. Give me some more snow and i´ll stop complaining.

Earth seen from 4 billion miles away

Photographed by Voyager 1 on June 6, 1990.

Of the "pale blue dot," astronomer Carl Sagan said, "That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every 'superstar,' every 'supreme leader,' every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there — on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam."

Nothing new under the winter sun

Just thought I would drop a photo of yours truly and proudly.

The water we pay for......mmmm

For a while now I´ve been blaming my dry skin and caspa on too much work, shit and stress in my life, but after a recent visit to Ireland all cleared up and then returned after a few days back in environmentally friendy Barca. I decided that it must be chlorine and decided to buy a shower filter.

Holy Jesus! This is the latest chlorine news from sepulveda.

"The chlorination of water supplies began early in the twentieth century as a response to cholera and typhoid epidemics (water-borne pathogens) which were killing many people. It worked; people stopped dying of cholera and typhoid. Instead they began developing cancers, arteriosclerosis, heart disease and other chronic degenerative diseases, years later."

"Every time you step into a hot, steamy shower, the pores of your skin open to the sensation of heat and water. Your body acts as a giant sponge and absorbs chlorine and other contaminants present in municipal water supplies. Likewise, the water vapor and mist created by the hot shower water is inhaled through both your mouth and nose, depositing any toxins present in your water along your entire respiratory system."

Against all odds.

Here we go again. Another year, another dollar. The wind is tearing our house apart.
I keep my hopes for a good year. For all of us.
