The rebirth of ultracool

This morning we did the ultrasound thingie with Junior N°2. Once again I was stunned by the little monster in there. Appx 168 grams and 20cm above the sea. I saw the heart beating (as one, YLT), 2cm big. I saw small criminal hands and a mouth shouting and bitching in there. A true Melinder in other words. July 31st is scheduled for landing.

Over at AA HQ we've got not one, but two brand-spanking-new podcasts for y'all. You can either download them or listen straight from the page.

The first (03) is a mix of Gabor Szabo, John Fahey and a very nice track from Lem Chaheb. The second (04) of the two podcasts is by Nate Davis, an artist we know from Philadephia and features the likes of Weather Report, Workshop, Tony Williams, Lard Free and many other fine examples from the 1970s.

It's official

Coras new boyfriend and French room mate not only drank the Slivovice plum vodka. They actually FINISHED it. Don't be fooled by rumours of Steve drinking the last drop. It was all gone gone goooone by the time he got his hands on this relic.

The strangest thing is that they drank it on 2 different occations so they actually must have liked it. I'm well impressed. And a tiny bit scared.

March of the posh

Another weekend, another dollar. Spent all the weekend on looking at cars, at least one. Paid a visit to Annaklara with family. (Rebecca, we missed out on her birthday again. But they got a lovely house, so they won´t be missing any presents from us anyway.)

Well, well..time takes it toll on us all it seems. 25 years of internation pop fame seems to "pasar factura" as they chuckle here. We (my lady friend and I) went to see Depeche Mode at the weekend and while the show was okay (lots of new stuff - boooo - and the old faves - hurrah!) they looked old, tired and above all, fat. Yes!

Andy Fletcher was behind a keyboard stand that had a type of crappy Star Trek look to it, which was actually designed to cover his paunch. He's huge! He came out from behind the keyboard stand and looked like a retired wrestler, who'd opened a pub. Then Martin L. Gore came to the front to do his token ballads ("Question of Time" and "Home" this time) and he looked chubby, wrinkley and tired, too. Damn! The only one who looked "good" was Dave: still skinny, sexy and showman-like.

Friday, oh Friday! How we love thee. Ended this successful week with oversleeping and getting late to both pre-school (yes, it is called förskola nowadays, not dagis!) and work. Now I am dreaming about beers, cheers and queers. Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow!

My first week as single parent is about to come to an end. I have grown the deepest of respect to all those single mothers (and fathers) out there taking care of kids, jobs, dogs and stuff.
