These boots were made for joking?

I bought myself a fancy pair of shoes the other day, only today i saw that the model is called "Joke". What kind of a name is that? ECCO Joke.

Brings up the clown in me.

The joke is on me? Pffff...

ECCO JOKE

Facts of life

My morning bike-ride is 24,78 km long, my average speed is 24,7 km/h (max 35,7 km/h), it took me 1 hour and 4 seconds to cover that distance and i burnt 413,8 calories.

A little bit dissapointed about the 413,8 calories, it felt like 4000, and i was looking forward to eat 10-12 danish wienerbröd for breakfast. I guess I´ll have to stick to the horrible black coffee and a cheese sandwich.

Life Sucks Less With More Sleep

Okay rub it in. Give it to me. I won´t be able to get some good sleep this decade anyway.

"Sleep more and life will suck less according to Dr. Phyllis Zee from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine.

Well, his exact words were: “There is increasing evidence that there is a very strong relationship between sleep quality and physical and mental health... poor health...is associated with poor sleep. Also...there is an association between that (poor sleep) and poor health."

A national survey of 31,044 adults revealed a link between insomnia and other sleeping problems with high blood pressure, heart failure, anxiety, and depression.

While Zee said that there is still no evidence yet that indicates squeezing more sleeping hours makes diabetes, hypertension, and other medical conditions better, studies have shown more sleep makes teenagers do better in school and can even have a major effect on children suffering from depression."

"Turntable Gold Ring Goes for $13K, Doesn't Make WikiWikiWiki Noises.
Nothing says, "Will you marry me, and play me some Run DMC, DJ?" than an 18k gold turntable ring. Black diamonds make up the vinyl, white diamonds cover the rest of the ring. No idea if that tonearm design would actually hold any audioholic muster."

"Does your cat look like Adolf Hitler? Do you wake up in a cold sweat every night wondering if he's going to up and invade Poland? Does he keep putting his right paw in the air while making a noise that sounds suspiciously like "Sieg Miaow"? If so, this is the website for you."

And death for no reason is murder.

True or false?

NORWICH (Reuters) - Many people have experienced the phenomenon of receiving a telephone call from someone shortly after thinking about them -- now a scientist says he has proof of what he calls telephone telepathy.

Stev, can we check this in your super lab up on the mountain?

Traces of a week dead and gone

Howdy folks!

I hope you are all swell. A week has passed for most us, with both tears and laugther. And a few icecreams for Blenda to keep her happy when daddy is going crazy over the new car breaking down in the middle of the busy road. I had to push it a few hundred meters to "park" it safe, waiting for my support hero Jon. This morning we towed it to a mechanic called "Åk-lagarn", run by Bosse Bildoktorn. I felt a good part of confidence leaving the car with him, being twice the size of me and with a dragracing car parked outside.

This weekend offers finishing the room without walls and most probably the last BBQ this year. Summer is still hanging around, but it is getting really cold at night.
And of course, it´s the election this sunday. I´ll be up with the rooster putting my vote for someone that deserves it at Hammarlövs församling. It is a really nice little church from back in the days when Vikings ruled the world. Actually it is not allowed to have the local election booths in places related to some kind of religon. But in a village that size, there are not many other public houses. I´ll vote for Jesus, God and the Holy ghost.

Jazz on Bones: X-Ray Sound Recordings

Hot stuff.

"In the USSR and Eastern Europe in the 1950s underground night spots would play music pirated from the west. The only media they had were recorders etched into discarded X-ray film. I've long sought some images. Researcher Camille Cloutier pointed me to these, collected and posted by József Hajdú. Here's what he says about them..."
